“Rejoice in Me always! Again I say rejoice! Let your loving spirit be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Me and My peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4: 4-7
“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in Me, these do, and My peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
And I pray…
Lord, I seek Your presence, Your Holy Spirit, Your love, and Your wisdom to guide and direct me each day of my life. As I seek You and seek to do Your will, love and protect me in everything I think and say and do.
Lord, I rejoice in You every day. I lay my life before You and ask that You show me the way.
Jesus, may all that is You flow into me, and may Your love, Your joy and Your peace flow through me to others. Jesus I want to learn more about You. I want to get to know you better. I want to know about everything You have done and said so I can be more like You. I want to love You more and more each day, and share Your wisdom and love along the way.
Jesus, may all that is You flow into me, so that I may glorify You for all to see. Lord, how may I glorify You today? I feel Your presence here, now to guide me in every way.
I rejoice in You! I rejoice in my sisters and brothers. You are my God, my Father, and my Friend, and for me there is no other.
Thank You Father for blessing my soul this morning. Thank You for loving me and giving me peace and joy in You.
Knowing That You Know God!
When you study and think about God’s Word. When you know the story of salvation and God’s gift of Jesus. When you know what Jesus has done for you, you have to fall on your knees in thanksgiving.
When you think about how sinful you have been, how utterly wicked and wretched you have been, and yet realize what God has done for you, how much He loves you, And you realize that He love you so much that He forgave you for everything bad you have ever done, after the flood of guilt and remorse hit you, and you wonder why God would sacrifice His Son to save a wretch like you, you are then flooded with love and gratitude, and wonder and awe for a God who would do all that for you.
And at the point that you know, that you know, you know God and that you feel God’s presence, a new life begins for you in Christ. A life of love and gratitude, a life of joy and peace, and a life of sharing all God’s love and joy and peace with others.
While doing the Ignatius Retreat in Daily Life, when I was deep in scripture and prayer and meditation, I was walking with Jesus, living with Him in His story and I realized just how much God loves me, how much He was willing to sacrifice for me. When you walk with Jesus and share His pain in the passion, the crucifixion, it is unbelievably sad. But, when you walk with Him and share the joy of His baptism and resurrection, you become unbelievably glad!
Read and visualize yourself with Jesus in Matthew 3: 16-17
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold the heavens were opened up to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
If you live this baptism with Jesus, if you see and feel what He saw and felt, and were loved and approved by God, what more could you ask for.
My greatest desire is that now and at the end of my life, God will say to me, “This is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased!” Amen.
